Shear performances of shallow notch-screw connections for timber-concrete composite (TCC) floors

Shallow notch-screw connections, which showed potential superior slip moduli and load-carrying capacity compared with the traditional screwed connections can be employed in timber-concrete composite (TCC) floors were examined this study. Eight groups of shallow designed to perform push-out tests, arrangement screws, heavy timber types, width notch considered. The depth was uniformly 15 mm. vertical screws cross inclined separately selected as reinforcement for connections. common panels, including nail laminated (NLT), glulam, (CLT), adopted. tested included 100 200 experimental results that underwent ductile failure. effects testing factors on shear strength, moduli, ductility discussed. design proposals about notches using each panel types proposed, aiming provide guidance application TCC notches.
